Oh, It's Not That Bad

I generally hate K-Pop with a passion. It’s too sweet and cute by half and at its worse it can be like getting chopsticks stuck in your ears and pulled out your eyes.  I mean, why else would the Korean government think about using it as a weapon?

And don’t get me started on having to deal with your students sing such songs in class ad infinitum to the point where even you find yourself singing “Gee gee gee baby baby” to yourself at random moments.

Well, over a Gawker, they have decided that despite its reputation, K-Pop may have, in fact, created the perfect pop song.

Some here at Gawker argue that Canadian Power Puff Girl Carly Rae Jepsen’s ‘Call Me Maybe’ is the new perfect pop song. While I have listened to that song twelve times in a row today, I have to disagree: ‘Bad Boy,’ by K-pop boy group Big Bang, is even more perfect. It’s so perfect it transcends language.
